Mesa Verde

La Mesa RV Park is only 8 miles from Mesa Verde National Park.  The park is home to some of the most well known cliff dwellings in the world, and people come from all over the world to see the ancient Pueblo ruins.

Depending on the time of year some cliff dwellings are closed to the public.  It’s our recommendation that you plan ahead of time if you’d like to see all the ruin sites Mesa Verde has to offer.  Check with their park services site on this link.

Even during the off seasons there are a few ranger guided tours, and you’re still welcome to drive through the park and take in the views.  During the primary season many locations are open to the public on self guided tours, and the larger ruin locations require a ranger guided tour.

100 Years of the National Park Service

The U.S. is blessed with some amazing locations.  And as of 2016 the National Park Service has been protecting some of the most well known natural wonders of the world.  In the case of Mesa Verde National Park, not just a natural wonder, but a wonder of the ancient civilizations that came before us.

Only 8 miles from the National Park, La Mesa RV Park is a great starting point for visiting not only this park, but the multiple nearby National Monuments as well.  If you’re planning a trip to the area, be sure to get in touch with us and reserve your spot!
