Visit the Rockies San Juan Skyway

Cortez Colorado is part of a fun driving loop known as the Skyline Drive.  The route takes you through some breathtaking scenery as you travel from the high desert into the Colorado Rockies, looping through some of the major ski areas, and finally returning you to the high desert and Cortez once more.

From Cortez you can travel to Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Telluride, Delores, and finally back to Cortez.  While you can do the loop in a day, there’s so much to see you might want to pace yourself!
