Starting the New Year off right

One of the really fun aspects of our newly designed website is that we actually get to see where our guests are coming from.  This morning we found an interesting link from “MyTripJournal.com.”  Guests from October of 2013 had made mention of the park on their blog.

Our guests are very important to us at La Mesa, and we always love to hear about their experience staying with us.  From their blog post we were so happy to read the following.

What a great way to end our stay in Cortez. As we were leaving the following morning I stopped to say goodbye to our delightful campground manager, Cherie, and chat about the concert since we had seen here there too. She told me her daughter had graduated as a music major from Fort Lewis College in Durango and had occasionally played with the San Juan Orchestra. She told me that when she saw Mr. Rathnam come out in cowboy boots she quickly texted her daughter. Seems that at her junior and senior year’s recitals she had insisted on wearing cowboy boots with her formal outfit, against the wishes of her professor. Man, you got to love the West 🙂
Cherie was a real sweetie. When Fred was doing the outside hitch-up work, she had come by to say goodbye and thank us for our business. She encouraged us to come back next year and stay longer, telling us it was only $500 a month. We would definitely return if our travels brought us this way.

We always look forward to returning guests, and we hope to see “The Wandering Wishnies” again.

  1. Oh my gosh! We were just talking about possibly coming back to Cortez later this year. So I wanted to refresh my memory of the campground we had stayed in last year. I pulled up the website and noticed you now have a blog. So imagine my surprise when I click on it and start reading and you mention US! We are the Wandering Wishnies and have fond memories of our stay at your campground last year. If we decide to come back to Cortez, you can bet we will be giving you a call.

  2. We had the opportunity to stay at La Masa rv park in May 2014. We had reservations at MesaVerd Natl park but did not like the the campground. Looking for another campground we stumbled upon LaMasa RV park. What a find. Cherie is a great host. Would not hesitate to stay there the next time in Cortez. Thanks Cherie
